Chick Corea's Delphi 1 is a collection of short piano improvisations recorded in 1978. Most of these short solo piano improvs are fast and funny pieces but still very serious music. The Delphi 1 piano pieces provide contrast to the music profile of Radio Dupree. Sometimes they almost work as piano preludes to other songs.

In the album liner notes Chick Corea writes a lot about Delphi which is actually the name of the place where the recording was made...a scientologist school in Oregon, USA. Some music lovers may also choose to turn to the philosophy and religious thoughts of L. Ron Hubbard who founded scientology.

Others may prefer L. Ron Hoover instead, as Frank Zappa suggests on his 1979 album Joe's Garage... L. Ron Hoover at the First Church of Appliantology.
