ALBUM OF THE MONTH |
Album # 59 is More - Pink Floyd This album is probably unknown to many average Pink Floyd fans, the ones that settled down with Dark Side of The Moon and The Wall and felt that the group's 1967 debut album The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn was strange and weird and had no merit at all. Well, here is an album from the years after Piper and before the world success and major break through with Dark Side. Here is the soundtrack from More, a film directed by Barbet Schroeder (1969). Some of the stuff on this album is very experimental and was probably the perfect way to accompany a film about a young hippie couple leaving Paris for Ibiza, and their experiences of drugs. Songs
highly rated by the Radio Dupree staff are Ibiza Bar, Cymbaline
and Green Is The Colour. S.H. |
